mexico, in the ecological reserve of Yumbalam, there is a
singular island of fishermen called Holbox. its coasts are
aphrodisiac beaches and the surrounds are filled with hundred
of species such as: dolphins, flamingos and turtles. Holbox
means black hole or "cenote" in mayan language,
a natural well or reservoir, formed when a limestone surface
collapses, exposing water underneath. these waters are known
to be therapeutic and the ancient cultures used to drink from
them due to its purity.
